Worthy Of Trust

After one year as the Member of Parliment of Killarney, Dr. The Hon. Hubert A. Minnis has indeed made himself a model Member of Parliament. I am most pleased to be a part of his constituency which seems to be on the move at a most rapid pace! Dr. Minnis has shown his love and compassion for the Killarney constituents. Constituents are able to access Minnis through the efficiency of his Consitiuency Office and are kept abreast on events and issues in the community via the Killarney mailing list and the constituency website www.killarneynews.com.

Several events have also been held in Killarney to try to unite the community, and move the community to different level. Dr. Minnis has also shown to be dedicated and determined to and make strides in his ministerial portfolio. It was no surprise that Tribune reporter Adrian Gibson gave Dr. Minnis an A grade for his one year preformance in the May 5th edition of the Tribune. Dr. Minnis does not seem to be the traditional politician, his non conventional thinking has indeed proved to be an asset to his first year in office.

My MP

I just wanted to say that I am very proud of my MP Mrs. Vernae Grant (Eight Mile Rock). I was driving to Freeport the other day when someone told me my MP was on the bay picking up garbage. I went to see for myself and I saw her and Sanitation pulling garbage out of the bush and having it properly thrown away (water heaters, fridges, stoves etc)!! I was in shock!! She was working so hard I had to pull over and make sure I wasn't seeing things. I even went back to Pinedale, got my husband and came back to show him. I am proud to say that I have an MP who promised during the campaign to clean EMR up and she is certainly living up to her word. God Bless you Mrs. Grant and your workers. We in EMR are proud of you.
